Although the site of the World Trade Center is often said to be the most valuable spot in the state it is also among the state’s most contested real estate locations. Now there is new momentum to do something with it. At the legislature a decision was made to do nothing with a tobacco tax increase proposal. We’ll examine the politics of that and Medicaid legislation. We’ll also examine what terrorism experts are saying about local security. And we will discuss a school being rescued and the Newhouses’ latest move– this time involving print.

Reporting on all that for us are tonight’s Informed Sources:

  • Errol Laborde, Producer, Informed Sources.
  • Tyler Bridges, reporter, for The Lens
  • Norman Robinson, news anchor for WDSU-TV, Channel 6
  • Stephanie Grace, political journalist and contributor to Gambit newspaper.
  • Larry Lorenz, Host
