As parades wind through the area some judges have already had lots of bling thrown their way, including, allegedly, those on the state court of appeals.  At federal court, the upcoming gulf oil disaster trial may seem excessive in its volumes of documents and its length.  We’ll examine these stories . . . a new class at the police academy and a riverboat revival. We will also look at a controversial carnival ordinance two decades later and at who is being spoofed in this year’s parades.
