Informed Sources – January 4, 2013
One old acquaintance that we would all like to forget in this new year is crime. We can’t of course. But we’ll look tonight at whether we’re making progress in combating it…whether the streets are any safer now than they were one year ago. We’ll also look at the Saints season … a crime in itself to some. And we’ll discuss what college playoff changes mean for the future of the Sugar Bowl. Our Future Watch segment deals with the flu season and the effectiveness of vaccines. And we’ll take a special look at a tragedy 40 years ago this Monday when a lone gunman on a rampage in the then-Howard Johnson’s motel killed seven people–three of them police officers–and wounded eight.
Old acquaintances joining us tonight are:
– Errol Laborde, Producer, Informed Sources.
– Brendan McCarthy, reporter, WWL-TV, Ch. 4
– Dawn Ostrom, Our Future Watch reporter
– Jeff Duncan, sports columnist, The Times-Picayune
–Larry Lorenz, Host
