In the years since Katrina perhaps the most important recovery story has been that of public education. A new book tracks the progress and the shortfalls of rebuilding the school system. We’ll see what has been learned. We’ll also look at the case against Ray Nagin and those who are prosecuting it… an investigation of a troubled shoring contractor and the doors shutting on Aaron Broussard’s career. Our Future Watch segment reports on City Park.
On the path for us are tonight’s Informed Sources:

  • Errol Laborde, Producer, Informed Sources.
  • David Hammer, Investigative reporter, WWL TV, Ch. 4.
  • Dawn Ostrom, our Future Watch reporter.
  • Sarah Carr, former Times-Picayune education reporter, now a freelance journalist, whose new book “Hope against Hope” is excerpted in this week’s Gambit.
  • Larry Lorenz, Host
