Due to limited parking at the site, volunteers will meet at the St. Tammany Parish Government Complex in Mandeville and will be shuttled to the restoration site by CRCL (a 10 minute drive).
Detailed directions and additional information will be provided to registered volunteers via e-mail a few days prior to the event.
All planting equipment (gloves, shovels, etc.), lunch, and refreshments will be provided.
Volunteers will be planting 500 cypress trees and wrapping the trees with protectors to shield them from predators.
Volunteers need to be prepared to get muddy. This is a strenuous and dirty activity, so physical fitness is required.
Additional information, including directions and what to bring, will be provided a few days prior to the event.
We request that all volunteers please register to let us know if you plan to attend. You can complete an online registration form at the www.crcl.org or call the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana at 1-(888)-LACOAST[X] for more information.
We understand that plans can change. If, after registering, you find you are unable to attend the event, please email Coalition@crcl.org and let us know if you have to cancel so we can make your spot available to other potential volunteers.
