We're Still Here — And Still Serving Southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast
The recent announcement that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting will wind down its operations is devastating news for the public media system and the millions of Americans who rely on it. Congress' decision to end federal funding abandons nearly 60 years of bipartisan support for one of our most trusted and essential public institutions.
Our commitment to southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast remains unwavering. We will continue to provide the educational programs and cultural content that reflect and respond to the diverse needs of our community.
However, the loss of federal support means we must now raise significantly more funding to sustain and grow our mission. Public media has always been a shared effort, and that need for collective support is now more urgent than ever.
