Development Associate
Full-Time (up to 35 hours)

SUMMARY: The Development Associate is the customer focused and database support person for WYES. Reports directly to CEO and Membership Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Membership
- Interact regularly with staff, WYES members, donors, community members, and vendors via mail, phone, email, and in person;
- Process daily and monthly membership donations including payment processing and posting;
- Perform timely and accurate membership data entry, maintain accurate records and overall integrity, security, and quality of the donor database through data hygiene and mailing list management;
- Development of donor lists and email distribution lists;
- Work with contracted vendors for various fundraising campaigns;
- Manage the online donation form;
- Set-up on-air and digital fundraising campaigns, working across departments as well as with vendors to ensure all details are handled for on-air, online, database management, call and/or text centers, thank you gift ordering and fulfillment activities, and accurate and timely reporting of activities;
- Generate tax receipts and acknowledgement letters;
- Work with business office to provide information to reconcile donor and special event activities;
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the donor database, PCI compliance, and ability to manage multiple vendors, call center, merchant card processors, and shipping of store purchases and member thank you gifts;
- Assist with the financial processing for and during Special Events;
- Assist with online store sales, fulfillment, and reporting;
- Assist with station special events and Outreach activities;
- Other duties as assigned. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong operational knowledge of MemSys database;
- Operational knowledge of PBS HUB, Source, Console, Stripe, I3Verticals, Authorize.net, Eventbrite and WordPress platforms
- Operational knowledge and fluency in Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Word and Excel;
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously;
- Ability to work proactively and strategically to meet deadlines;
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff;
- Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills to manage competing workloads;
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential;
- Ability to take responsibility and ownership for tasks and to use initiative and creativity to resolve problems;
- Positive and collaborative team spirit and positive interpersonal skills with ability to support colleagues outside of primary responsibilties;

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (An equivalent amount of training, education and experience will also be considered.)
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience;
- CRM or other membership database software knowledge a plus+ (MemSys database skills strongly desired and a plus+);
- Customer service and membership support experience
